Rimea-Marre - Prelude

Holy heck, I finished this thing!

The first part of a long project I'm finally getting to start: Rimea-Marre! This video serves as a prologue, and helps to set the stage for what's to come... Eventually. I draw and write very slowly. But we'll get there! The project has its own page on my website, which you can view here. I'll post updates on new chapter releases on this blog, too!

More information is in the video description, but suffice it to say: WOOOOO IT'S DONE

THAT TURNAROUND AT THE END RUINED ME

New Species Portraits! (Starks and Pennies)

After three thousand years, I've finally redone the species portraits! ...Or, well, most of them. Pennies and starks have some spiffy new pictures on the Platform website. They're also completely image-mapped, meaning that you can hover over each character in the images to see their names, and click on them to view their biography, if they have one. You can see them here! It was fun to get to draw Caeder's domum after all this time, and it's always a joy to draw baby Blik and Vera. Who doesn't want to see baby Blik and Vera? Humans, strelks, maskers, and kangies still need updated pictures, but that's for another day... Just these ones took way longer than they should've, ahah.

(Also, dang these pictures are tiny -- clicking them is probably best if you want to actually read the text.)

In the meantime, I've also uploaded a new MAP part to my Youtube channel (which can be watched here), featuring Janus and their wife Solei! It has a more detailed explanation in the video description.

The reason that I've been so busy for a while (beyond school work and actual work) should soon become apparent... A new video should be out later this month! I hope you all like it. : )

"Hallia Family Portrait"

"And here we have another picture that took months and months! I’ve been working on this one since March, though a lot of that time did come from the fact that I took a break for a while in there.

It’s family portrait of the Hallias, when Blik and Vera were children! From left to right, we have Charm, Vera, Ulgaria, Ashley, Sorikthena, Jasmine, Blik, Rubidya, Soylent, Rhudall, Sierra, and Carrlio. I wanted to style it like an old back-and-white family portrait, and I think it worked out pretty well! The line art is a bit outdated, since I drew it at the beginning of last year, but I’m still happy with it!"

"Hallia Family Tree"

"This isn’t anything particularly grand, but I made a nice-looking family tree for the Hallias! (I figured this might be a good idea after accidentally giving my mom a massive headache trying to explain how they’re all related…)

For those curious, the dotted lines above the name plates mean that the person in question is desert-born (so they lack biological parents, but can still be part of a family via marrying in or adoption, or any other number of ties), the little crowns and square dealies to the left of the name plates indicate that the person was a queen / king or a Sehen, and the lines above some characters’ heads that fade out means that that person has actual parents, but I just didn’t want to bother drawing more faces."

A tad outdated, but mostly accurate!
